Coincidences

The invitation to come work at IDFX in Breda comes at a very good time in my research; thank you very much for the invitation.
In late 2024 and early 2025, I had an exhibition "Beware Bewaar Zimmer" at the Odapark in Venray, where moving images of light and sound were optimally utilized to create a spatially intangible yet distant sense of recognition.
Characteristic of my work is the application of a pedestal—a standard often represented by a person—surrounded by attributes in spaces that are theatrically diffuse, indefinable, or intangible, yet traceable as a world where it is reasonably pleasant to linger.
In 2024, I realized "Holy Hobby" at Zin in Vught to stimulate a total immersion of the senses there as well, using sound and performance in combination with a theatrical setting of my own work.
During my research in the spatial setting, I increasingly use digital apps to add moving objects to my photography.

I would like to build a kind of theatrical setting using resources I have realized in my own studio, to continue working with them in your studio and to utilize and make your contribution—the atmosphere, locations, and spaces—my own. Responding with performance and processing is a major challenge for me right now. If there are any ambiguities, I would be happy to come and explain them in person; I would very much like to come and work at IDFX.
