Gerlinde Habekotté
ARTIFICIAL food production project 2013
Gerlinde Habekotté makes spatial steel drawings inspired by architecture that become natural writings. Lives and works in Weurt and Eschenau (Austria).
The scented haybag tower in the heart of the museum is filled with varied dried grass from Austria where she has a house and studio.
Without grass our civilization would never have emerged. The number of grass species in our country is now declining sharply due to intensive livestock farming. She wants to give small bags of grass seeds to visitors, who then sow them in their garden or surroundings and send her a photo.
Each visitor receives a bag of the seed mixture from Austria for the ARTIFICIAL food production project 2013.
Sow...send a photo to the artist and you can follow it on Kunstwies.blogspot.com/kunstwiese
The monumental steel drawing-like images in the display cases project as shadow images on the hay sack tower in the heart of the Museum of All Times.
On display until March 25.
