    Sheets of money

    January 22 to March 20, 2022

ALARM & Museum installation in Beugen.

Robert Roelink is a contemporary art nomad and manifests himself from his studio/camper. He stands with one foot in the middle of society and with the other he wants to preserve the opportunity to be free, to live in and with nature.

His works consist of paintings, collages, sculptures and installations on location. Contemporary materials such as household plastic, waste plastic, acrylic and tape are basic materials with which the artist works. Themes such as the environmental problem due to human influences, the polarization within democracy, the desire to glorify economic values and the new various revolutions, are highlighted in his works.

I am looking for different images that have to do with a new enlightenment of our total humanity. I try to make art that exposes contemporary culture. I contrast these themes with the power of nature, which will always survive us, in search of new hope.

Ans Verdijk will do a browsing intervention with sculpture books based on Robert Roelink's installation in the ALARM art space.
