    Spring light

For the first time in a long time, work by visual artist F. Suzanne Scholten can be seen in the ALARM art space and the Museum of All Times. The work is energetic and predominantly abstract with figurative elements. Vegetable and human forms merge into each other.

In the exhibition, the works of art appear to grow like organisms in an ecosystem. The paintings on paper and textile sculptures color art space ALARM like self-seeding plants. In The Museum of All Times, smaller works of art can be seen such as seeds that germinate and larvae that wait for their transformation.

Swells upward, trusting to the gentle dew,
soaring apace from out the enfolding night.
Artless the shape that first bursts into light.

The Metamorphosis of plants, JW von Goethe

The exhibition is an initiative of visual artist Ans Verdijk. For thirty years she has been inviting professional artists to exhibit their work in the ALARM art space and the Museum of All Times in Beugen. Work by Ans Verdijk herself will also be on display in the ALARM art space, in which she responds to the work of F. Suzanne Scholten.

The Spring Light exhibition in ALARM art space can be viewed free of charge every Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. from May 14 to July 2, 2022.

Opening May 14 between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
